Update for 55th reunion – As I walked my dog Gus today, I thought about what to share about my life with you. My dream house has sold. The puppy and I have watched it change and go for sale. Six bedrooms that I could have filled with my hobbies. A room filled with fabric. Another filled with sewing machines. A music room is a must. I have been trying to teach myself piano for the last 20 plus years. Unfortunately, I haven’t practiced as much as I need to accomplish that goal. Another would contain my Ed Sullivan collection of vinyls. It gives me joy to find a Robert Goulet or a Broadway show LP. Of course there would be a room for my Barbie dolls. The yard has a space for the garden. Every year I say this year will be my last to have one. But somehow my mid May the plants are growing away. Gus and I watch them grow every day. Maybe tomorrow on our walk we will find another house to dream about.
Nurse at Iowa Lutheran for 24+ years, then Biolife Plasma service. I’d love to go to Paris in the 1920’s, but that probably won’t happen, except in the old movies I love to watch. Duluth, Nashville, NYC, England, and Malibu are among the favorite places where I have visited.
From 50+1 reunion – How I spend my days? That is the question. Puppy gets me up at 4:30 am most days. Gus is a sheltie and gets into routines. After Gus and I take care of her needs, I have a big cup of coffee and start working with my fabric.
At present quilting is my passion. I love fabric and anything that goes with it. Rulers and scissors and pins and needles are everywhere. However, I don’t get anything done. I like the process, not the completion. I love my toys. Life is good! I am not done yet.
Take care
Deb
