Barbara (Bennett) Schmoll
Muscatine, IA

After graduation I spent a year in the Washington DC area working. I then moved back to Iowa. I married Jack in 1972. After Jack graduated from Iowa State University we moved to the eastern part of the state. We have one daughter and two grandsons. I graduated from Muscatine Community College with an Associates Degree in Accounting in 1990. Jack retired from his job of 40 years and I retired from my job of 14 years in 2013. We sold the house, put the things we wanted to keep in storage and sold or gave away everything else and moved into a 32 foot fifth camper. We joined an organization called NOMADS (NOMADS On Mission Active in Divine Service) and now we travel around the country working at churches, church camps and homes of disaster victims. We have also traveled to Alaska in 2014 and again in 2018. During the Covid-19 shut down we moved from campground to campground moving every fourteen days. We saw family at a distance, but for the most part from March until October we stayed within our campsites and camper. In October we started doing projects again. In January of 2021 we were in Corpus Christi, Texas during the ice storm. At the time of the class reunion we will be in Michigan at a church camp doing a NOMADS project.
