Hi All!

Since 1970 I grew up a little and got serious about life and learning, married someone much smarter than me, took some courses at DMACC and worked with computers at Banker’s Life in DSM and also in Eldora, IA, lived in
Clarinda, IA, was a stay at home mom and later with 3 boys worked with Ralston Public Schools for 31 years, finishing as the admissions secretary in the counseling department, and retired in 2018.

Currently residing in Ralston, NE, a suburb of Omaha, NE since 1985. We have 5 grandchildren, 3 close by and 2 in Colorado. Mike and I enjoy traveling, music, reading and some biking together. We’ve been married 48
years now.

Pandemic…what can I say. We did what we were told was responsible, isolated until vaccinations, and now we do it again for the sake of our grandchildren because of the serious variants.

School memories: I took very little seriously in HS, and I recognized myself in many of the HS kids I worked with and tried to share the importance of school and studies with them. Really wish I had finished the basketball season my senior year, I loved baton twirling in marching band and currently have 2 granddaughters who also twirl. Study Hall was great because talking with friends was what I did best. Overnights with
girlfriends was always so much fun- so many late nights and laughter.

Teacher thoughts … As the years have passed I realize that I have a lot more respect and appreciation for the good ones!
